1Who is responsible?

Each office using the platform is responsible for its customers’ data; Muamala processes that data on the office’s behalf and only on its instructions to provide the service. Muamala is responsible for the data submitted through the “Request a demo” form on this website.

2What we process

• Office customers: name, mobile number, email (optional), nationality, passport and Emirates ID numbers, date of birth, uploaded document images, request and payment details, and document expiry dates.
• Office staff: name, email, role and a log of sensitive actions.
• Website visitors: what you enter in the demo form (name, office, mobile, email, emirate, message) and your IP address for abuse protection.

3Why we use it

To let the office receive and track requests, issue invoices and remind customers of renewals, to send service notifications, and to contact people who request a demo. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.

4Automatic document reading

The app may read passport details from its photo on the customer’s device to speed up form filling. This is an aid only; the customer and the office must check the data against the original document before submitting any transaction.

5Who we share it with

Only the office the customer deals with, the technical providers we rely on to run the platform (hosting, database and email delivery) to the extent needed, or a competent authority where required by law.

6How we protect it

Each office’s data is isolated at the database level, documents live in private storage opened only through short-lived links for authorised staff, connections are always encrypted, sensitive actions are logged, and we take weekly backups with a restore test.

7Retention

An office keeps its customers’ data for the duration of its subscription or as it decides. When a subscription ends the office can download a full copy of its data; it is then deleted within a reasonable period, and from backups as they rotate (up to 8 weeks).

8Your rights

Customers can ask to access, correct or delete their data through the office they deal with. Any visitor can ask us to delete their demo-form data. We aim to comply with applicable UAE law, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
