Questions we hear often
Do customers need to download an app?
No. They open your office link on any phone and start right away, and can add it to their home screen if they like.
How long does it take to set up my office?
Usually the same day: we add your office, set your logo, colours and services, and hand over the dashboard with a quick team walkthrough.
Is my customers’ data safe?
Yes. Each office’s data is fully isolated at the database level, documents live in private storage opened only through short-lived links for your team, and every connection is encrypted.
Can I change services and prices?
Yes, from the dashboard: add or hide services and set required documents, expected duration and fees.
How do renewal reminders work?
Expiry dates for residency, Emirates ID, passport and licences are saved from every request (or imported from Excel). Customers who gave an email get an automatic reminder 30 and 7 days before expiry. WhatsApp is not sent automatically: your staff get a ready message to send in one tap, and you get a morning summary of who needs a reminder.
Is Muamala a government body, or does it process transactions itself?
No. Muamala is an independent software platform that helps your office organise its work. It is not a government entity and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government authority. Your office submits transactions and pays official fees through the approved government channels.
Can I bring my existing customers?
Yes. Upload an Excel or CSV file with your customers, phone numbers, document expiry dates and balances, review the preview and fix errors, then import — and you can undo an import within 14 days.
Who owns the data? What about backups?
Your office’s data belongs to your office. The owner can download a full copy of their data and documents at any time, and we take a full weekly backup and automatically test restoring it.
